One of the up and coming starts of the Rocket All Stars Series, Matty Watts, has taken his form on the National scene to his local track. Watts capped off what has been a successful 2009 with an electrifying performance at the Alice Springs Quarter-Mile Titles held at Alice Springs Inland Dragway.
The nation''s number two-ranked Supercharged Outlaws driver, showed the speed and consistency that has been his trademark since taking delivery of his supercharged altered recording a personal best elapsed time of 7.24 seconds at a huge184mph. Not only is this Watts’ best time at his local track but it is actually his best time at any track in the country! Matty was a standout performer in the Outlaw class, finishing with a win over Ben Simpson from who made the trek from Darwin. In a successful weekend the young driver, Matty also claimed the quickest reaction time with a 0.0081 as well as the fastest ET trophy. Watts and his team’s next meeting will be on the 22 August when they head to Darwin to have a shot at the NT Titles. After that, they join the Rocket All Star Series for another show at the National crown.
