Alice Springs ASID.

Qualify 1
I started late as Jason and I arrived late in off the plane and drove straight over to the drag strip, did all our adjustments and headed out the staging lanes. There were only 2 competitors in our class due to some having mechanical problems even some with chassis problems. We got a 7.772 @ 154mph I pulled the chutes early due to tyre shake near the finish line.

Qualify 2
We did a few more adjustment; put more horsepower into the car. We took horsepower out for the first qualifying session because we really didn’t know how the car would handle. We got a reaction time of 0.004 and ran a 7.652 @ 176 mph nice clean run. Best reaction for Alice Springs. That was it for qualifying.

Round 1
Well there are only 2 of us so I was racing Stephen Ariston all day. We lined up and ran a 7.770 @ 152mph, the lane I choose was very slippery about half track so was on and off the throttle but still came up with the win and pulled the chutes early.

Round 2
We ended up doing some major adjustments this time just to try something. Now I red lighted by 0.02 (perfect is 0.00) but ran a 1.080 60ft and ran a 7.469 @ 180mph YAYA!! That is our Personal Best in Alice Springs; I lost but was stoked about the time and speed, so were the team!! Our adjustments paid off.

Round 3 Finals
I had Stephen again, funny that, that made our third round the final considering there was only 2. It was now Ariston’s turn to leave early and red lighting by 0.05 which gave me the automatic win but I ran a 7.565 @ 178mph nice clean run and very happy. We had presentation at the end of the day and to our surprise we cleaned up and took home 4 trophies!!!
