Mackay 2-3 October 2009.

The day started off early as Sally, Aaron and Myself got to the track early morning waiting for dad to get in with semi. So we decided to find out where we were pitted. We found out we were pitted somewhere the semi wouldnt even fit, so i we had a chat to the track guys and we got a new pit. Dad arrived not long after and we started setting up.

First qualify was friday night so we got the car all warmed up and headed out.
0.328 reaction 7.58 ET @ 179mph. Left lane was bumpy as all the way done, as i pulled the parachutes i noticed sparks and smoke from the right lane as i turned my head i notice to blossomed chutes in my lane and had to turn quickly to avoid hitting him. it bounced violently into the braking area and straight into the grass flat. Now that shock me around.

Second qualify was the next day in the morning.
-0.019 reaction 7.64 ET @ 177mph. Not as good conditions as last night but still bumpy and i couldnt pull the car up quick enough so straight through to grass flat again.

Third qualify wasnt real good we went out and did a burnout but as i was backing up my steering got stiffer and stiffer so i decided not to run and just keep reversing back.
We got it back to the pits and stripped the steering box and tried freeing it up. We got it good enough to run but looked like from the bouncy track and all the dirt driving i had been doing i had siezed up a bearing and put more wear on the shaft.

First round was later in the day.
0.134 reation 7.62 ET @ 179mph. good run but he got a better reaction time then me, he got a 0.018 haha first one all day. but was a good race. I'd rather be beaten at the finish line then the start line.

We have a few new gadgets for our next meeting so we'll see how they go. Our next meeting at Willowbank for the ENZED NIGHT FIRE on Jan 2nd 2010. Cant wait.
