Day pretty much started as a rush. We arrived out there and unpacked and started setting up and over heard “Supercharged Outlaws to the staging lanes”, we hadn’t even unpacked yet so the team decided to skip the first qualifier and just run two. I was keen for a run because after doing some maintenance to the altered, Steve and I had found a leaking manifold gasket. Qualifier 1, Reaction 0.018 7.17 @ 187 mph, definitely fixed our problem and ran our PB. Good run. Qualifier 2, Reaction 0.008 7.25 @ 185 mph, a little bit slower but still well. Round 1 was up against Zac Peirano, so was excited to get out and run. Dial in 7.22 Reaction 0.242 7.24 @ 186 mph, Zac red lighted, he was having some difficulties with his Trans brake. Round 2 Dial in 7.22 Reaction 0.186 7.38 @ 167mph, Car launched really good and I didn’t react quick enough before the car shifted towards the centerline, car got very out of shape and I crossed the centerline which gives me a automatic disqualification. That end our day but was still stoked about getting our PB on our first run. Once again I would like to thank the crew and also thank our sponsors for all the help they give. |
